Our history
The dream...
One of our founders has been working with women from prostitution and forced prostitution since 2008. During this time she experienced again and again that there was a lack of organizations that support women affected by sexual exploitation.
She also noticed that there was a lack of housing for women who wanted to leave the milieu. This has not changed to this day, especially for women who do not have access to social benefits.
She started by telling close friends about her vision of opening a shelter in Berlin. Through regular meetings, the founding circle grew to ten people. A concept was created.

The association was founded on November 8th, 2014. p.ink door e. V. was born from the close cooperation of a team. The registration at the district court as p.ink door e. V. took place on January 29, 2015. On February 27, 2015, the non-profit status was confirmed by the tax office of the corporations.Since
The first year after the founding was filled with visits to shelters and projects in Germany and other EU countries to gather information and experience and build a network. 200
The conceptual development was carried out by pedagogical specialists and in close cooperation with the Servants Anonymous Foundation, Vancouver BC, Canada (SAF).

Since then, the association has been evaluating the constantly changing circumstances and needs of the women and adapting to them.
